چکیده
Predicting the quantity of product sales in future aims to control amount existing stock, so that shortage or excess stock can be minimized. When predicted accurately, fulfillment consumer demand managed a timely manner and company's cooperation with consumers is maintained properly company avoid losing consumers. This study analyze accuracy predicting salt using Single Exponential Smoothing (SES) method compared Double (DES) method, more accurate will obtained for sales. The results testing comparison level done by evaluating error value forecasting Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE). lowest MAPE result SES when parameter α = 0.054 7.932% which means very accurate. Whereas DES 28.145% while 0.845 β 0.214 reasonable. Based on two methods above, use

Comparison of breast cancer burden in Iranian women with Eastern Mediterranean region and prediction by exponential smoothing method
Introduction: The aim of this study was to investigate the burden of breast cancer (DALY Index) trend in Iran and compare it with the Eastern Mediterranean region (EMR) and finally to predict the burden of this disease. Materials and Methods: Equalization of breast cancer burden trend in Iran and the EMR during the years 1990 to 2017 was tested using Cochrane Armitage method. The trend of chang...
متن کاملH-WEMA: A New Approach of Double Exponential Smoothing Method
A popular smoothing technique commonly used in time series analysis is double exponential smoothing. Basically, it’s an improvement of simple exponential smoothing which does the exponential filter process twice. Many researchers had developed the technique, hence Brown’s double exponential smoothing and Holt’s double exponential smoothing. Here, we introduce a new approach of double exponentia...
متن کاملForecasting Using Simple Exponential Smoothing Method
In the paper a relatively simple yet powerful and versatile technique for forecasting time series data – simple exponential smoothing is described. The simple exponential smoothing (SES) is a short-range forecasting method that assumes a reasonably stable mean in the data with no trend (consistent growth or decline). It is one of the most popular forecasting methods that uses weighted moving av...
متن کاملA new adaptive exponential smoothing method for non-stationary time series with level shifts
Simple exponential smoothing (SES) methods are the most commonly used methods in forecasting and time series analysis. However, they are generally insensitive to non-stationary structural events such as level shifts, ramp shifts, and spikes or impulses. Similar to that of outliers in stationary time series, these non-stationary events will lead to increased level of errors in the forecasting pr...
متن کاملPrediction of global sea cucumber capture production based on the exponential smoothing and ARIMA models
Sea cucumber catch has followed “boom-and-bust” patterns over the period of 60 years from 1950-2010, and sea cucumber fisheries have had important ecological, economic and societal roles. However, sea cucumber fisheries have not been explored systematically, especially in terms of catch change trends. Sea cucumbers are relatively sedentary species. An attempt was made to explore whether the tim...
